Inbar Spector’s eponymous Spring Summer 2012 collection stays true to her signature style combining complex constructions, crinolines, and corsets with rich fabrics and intellectual sophistication.

For her Spring Summer 2012 collection Israeli-born Inbar Spector takes inspiration from the theme of nightmares and hell.  A great part of Inbar Spector’s hometown in Israel was destroyed by a fire this year, which led to the creation of her SS12 collection. Using visions of violence, fire, medical prosthetic devices and terrifying clinics, Inbar Spector has created her SS12 collection.

With an obvious nod to the gothic era, the collection incorporates lace, silks and perforated faux leather in a monochrome palette. Inbar Spector also uses zippers and chains in her detailing to represent the dark nature of her collection.

Inbar Spector comments, ‘In the Israeli conscious, public events and parties are linked to terror. When you go to a wedding or big party your first association is happiness mixed with great fear. This feeling inspired me throughout the process of creating this collection.’
